Work

What I built, site by site

Some I built from scratch. Others needed to be rebuilt or optimized to help improve CRO and reduce CAC.

ShopifyHelios

Built from scratch, then redesigned 3 times

A shower and sink filter brand. I've stayed on as its developer since launch, adding offers, subscriptions, landing pages, tests and tracking.

  • Free-gift, bundle and subscribe-and-save offers, even on landing pages
  • Advertorials and offer pages for paid traffic, plus A/B tests
  • Heatmaps, recordings, server-side tracking and post-purchase upsells

Conversion work from landing page to checkout

A nasal dilator and mouth tape brand on Shopify Plus. I built their ad landing page and custom checkout blocks, and reworked the product pages, offers and SEO.

  • An ad landing page on its own layout, with every ad pixel still firing
  • Less scrolling to add to cart on phones, 3-month plan preselected
  • A custom Shopify Plus checkout app, built in place of paid apps

Moved to Shopify, then kept building

A royal jelly and honey brand. I moved them onto Shopify, then kept adding: royal jelly grade pages, bulk packs, pre-orders, an advertorial and recipes.

  • Potency badges, a strength filter and Shop buttons to sell 3 grades
  • Bulk packs by potency, plus pre-orders on sold-out sizes with no app
  • An advertorial on a layout with no page builder, plus shoppable recipes

ShopifyMax Muscle

A product page system and a pre-workout launch

A sports nutrition brand around since 1991. I'm their Shopify developer. I audited the store, rebuilt key product pages to convert, then launched their new pre-workout.

  • Site audit and a 9-brand teardown, ad landing pages included
  • Key product pages rebuilt as one system, subscription-first buy box
  • 3D product renders in Blender, banners and the MAD MAX launch

A few numbers I can back up

The conversion rate is for the whole store over time, not an A/B test.

  • 1.17% to 2.26%

Conversion rate on a Shopify store I built, Q2 2024 vs. Q2 2026 (Shopify Analytics)

  • 355 to 6,600+

Monthly organic clicks I grew for a Florida law firm, in 14 months (Search Console)

  • 30+

Websites built: Shopify, WordPress, Wix and custom builds

I leave the names off these numbers on purpose.

I'd love to hop on a call and go through your site.

Services

Here's what I take on

I'll do store builds and redesigns, smaller one-off fixes, ongoing maintenance and WordPress work.

A new store, or a tired one

For a new store or a rebuild, I usually start with a good theme and build custom sections around your products.

  • Store builds and full redesigns
  • Custom offers and subscription buy boxes
  • Sub-and-save on landing pages, no page builder
  • Advertorials, offer pages and landing pages
  • Product page templates built for launches
  • Shopify Plus checkout blocks and upsells
  • Blog sites that pull in organic traffic

WordPress

New sites, rebuilds and fixes

For local businesses: custom themes, forms that reach you, pages that look right on a phone and only the plugins you need.

  • Custom themes and plugins in PHP
  • Elementor, Gutenberg and WooCommerce
  • Booking, payment and multi-step forms
  • Forms connected to your CRM
  • Custom post types and ACF
  • SEO: Rank Math or Yoast, redirects, sitemaps
  • Speed, security, Cloudflare and DNS

CRO

Find what stops the sale

I set up heatmaps and watch how people shop. Do they think something's a button when it isn't? How long does it take them to reach add-to-cart?

  • Session recordings, landing page to checkout
  • A/B tests on offers, pages and buy boxes
  • Custom offers: bundles, gifts, sub-and-save
  • Advertorials and offer pages for paid traffic
  • Post-purchase upsells after checkout
  • Product page, cart and checkout fixes
  • GA4, GTM, pixels and conversion events

Process

Audit first, then we go down the list

Most projects start with an audit. What comes after depends on what you need, so pick the one closest to yours.

What kind of project?

DTC // Shopify

  1. Audit what's there

On a redesign, I audit first: Ahrefs, Search Console, heatmaps, and every page shopped on desktop and phone, so we know what to keep, fix or drop. New builds start from your products.

  2. Research, then plan

I study your competitors' stores and the pages their ads send traffic to, then plan the pages and sections your store needs, most important first.

  3. Mockups you sign off

Key pages get mocked up first, in Figma or next to a copy of your live store, so you sign off on the layout and the buy box before I build anything.

  4. Built into your theme

I start from a solid theme and build custom sections around your products: offers, bundles, subscription buy boxes. No page builder, all editable, on a copy of your theme.

  5. QA, then launch

Every page gets QA'd on desktop and a real phone, as a developer and as a CRO specialist. Test orders, pixels and redirects get checked, then I take it live and walk you through it.

About

You'd be working with me

I've been building Shopify stores and WordPress sites for 5+ years, over 30 of them so far. When a site isn't worth patching, I usually offer to rebuild it. I love rebuilding these sites.

From the first call to launch and after, you work with one developer: me. That covers design, build, SEO, tracking and ongoing support, and I lead the calls myself.

FAQ

Before you book a call

Book a call
How much does a project cost?

It depends on the scope, from a one-off fix to a full rebuild. We'll go over what you need, and I'll give you a number on the call.

Should I fix my site or rebuild it?

That's what the audit is for. If it's a matter of fixes, we start with the most important ones and go down the list.

Can you take over a store or site someone else built?

Yes. I've maintained stores on Dawn, Impulse, Venue and Concept, and I've worked on over a dozen WordPress themes, some custom, some based off pre-built themes.

Will my live store be affected while you work?

No. Big changes happen on a duplicate theme and new pages start as drafts, so your store keeps running while I work. Nothing goes live until it's tested.

Do you take on small, one-off fixes?

Yes. Along with store builds and redesigns, I'll do smaller one-off fixes and ongoing maintenance, on Shopify and WordPress.

Do you work with small businesses, or outside New Jersey?

Yes to both. I work with e-commerce brands and local service businesses like law firms and contractors, whatever the size. I've worked with a law firm in Florida and a dumpster-rental company in Los Angeles.

What do you need?

ShopifyHelios

How I help Helios

I built the Helios store and I'm still its Shopify developer. My work runs from the first landing page a shopper sees to the order the warehouse packs.

Build and redesigns

  • Built the Shopify store from scratch, then redesigned it 3 times
  • Redesigned the refill product page from competitor research, built as editable sections
  • Big changes get tested on a copy of the live theme first, with a way to roll back

Offers and subscriptions

  • Custom Seal buy boxes that show what's included, and what subscribing adds
  • Subscribe-and-save on landing pages too, wired to the store's plans, no page builder
  • A free-gift picker on Shopify's own discounts, no app, that works with subscriptions
  • Bundle tiers with a refill plan in each, built as kits so stock counts stay right

Landing pages

  • Advertorials and offer pages for paid traffic
  • A set of editable sections, so new landing pages get built in the theme editor
  • An esthetician partner program: gift pages, plus a login dashboard updated hourly

Testing and tracking

  • A/B tests on offer pages, with each order marked by the version it came from
  • Heatmaps and session recordings to see how shoppers move from landing page to checkout
  • Server-side purchase tracking on Cloudflare Workers, matched to the browser pixel

After the sale

  • Post-purchase upsells and customizations to raise order value
  • Subscription renewals that ship the right refill packs, not another bundle
  • Packing slips and a Shopify Flow that list what's inside each bundle

Lead capture and SEO

  • A tap water report: shoppers enter a ZIP and see their water against EWG guidelines
  • Built on data for thousands of US water systems, with an email capture up front
  • A separate blog site to bring in search traffic and warm up buyers
  • Google Shopping feed with separate variant listings and keyword-rich titles

Shopify PlusBreathewave

How I help Breathewave

As their Shopify developer, I handled the CRO and SEO side: the ad landing page, product pages and offers, the Shopify Plus checkout and the blog.

Ad landing page

  • Built an advertorial for ad traffic on its own layout, with no store header or footer
  • Kept every ad pixel and analytics tag firing, and hid the page from Google and site search
  • Moved its 10 images to Shopify's CDN, cutting the page's code from 993 KB to 26 KB

Product pages

  • Rebuilt the galleries on 4 product pages around benefit, how-to and review images
  • Tighter phone spacing so add to cart sits higher, and the cross-sells under it halved
  • Split page copy from feed copy, so Meta and Google listings carry their own

Offers and subscriptions

  • Set the mouth tape page to open on the 3-month supply, with the Skio subscription selected
  • Kept collection cards showing the lower 1-month price, while the page opens on 3 months
  • Built a bundle page with each item's value crossed off and a custom video section

Checkout on Shopify Plus

  • Built a custom checkout app so the store didn't need a paid one from the App Store
  • Added review stars and a customer quote above the cart, and a text-us line under the total
  • Made the quote, rating and phone number editable by the owner in the checkout editor
  • Upsells and post-purchase sections, using the extra room Shopify Plus gives

SEO and content

  • Audited the site in Ahrefs and Search Console, then worked down the fix list
  • Rewrote titles and meta on 23 pages, and redirected 25 old URLs to live pages
  • Planned 18 articles around problems people search, then wrote the first two with citations

Safe changes on a live store

  • Built new templates on a staging theme and previewed them before they went live
  • Duplicated the live theme before pushing changes, so a full rollback is one click
  • Kept a shared change log: what changed, where it lives and how to roll it back
  • Reordered variants without changing their IDs, so subscriptions and ad links stayed intact

ShopifyGo Honey

How I helped Go Honey

I moved Go Honey onto Shopify and handled the Shopify side after launch: grade pages, offers, a landing page and content. Big changes went on a copy of the theme first, with a backup to roll back to.

Product and home pages

  • Built 2 new royal jelly grades as products, each with its own page, why tab and FAQ
  • Home page royal jelly sections, ending in a potency dial with a Shop button per grade
  • Customer videos load nothing until someone taps Play, so product pages stay light

Helping shoppers pick a grade

  • Collection pages with product-line tabs, potency badges and a strength filter
  • Each grade's page links to the other two, with a Shop button for each grade
  • Review stars on the custom collection cards, drawn in the theme with no extra app script
  • New products file themselves into the right collection with one tag

Offers and add to cart

  • Bulk packs: pick a potency, then a 2, 3 or 7 jar pack, with stock tied to the jars
  • Sold-out sizes take pre-orders, ship date on the button, even in quick shop, no app
  • Sticky add-to-cart on phones that carries the size and the Subscribe & Save choice

Advertorial landing page

  • Put an advertorial landing page live, leading into a Subscribe & Save offer
  • On a reusable layout I built: no store menu, no page builder, SEO tags and pixels kept
  • A brand design system doc (fonts, colors, buttons) so outside designers stay on brand

Content and SEO

  • A recipe hub with instant filters, and recipes shown on the products they use
  • Recipes aimed at big searches like hot toddy, each linking to its products
  • Redirects for old and retired URLs, so old links still land on a live page

ShopifyMax Muscle

How I help Max Muscle

I handle the dev side of Max Muscle's Shopify store. I plan the work, build it, test it through checkout and put it live. Conversion work comes first, then traffic.

Audit and research

  • Audited the whole store first: SEO, page speed, apps and offers, with a ranked fix list
  • Clicked through 37 competitor pages, including the pages their ads send traffic to
  • Mocked up the new product page next to a 1:1 copy of the live one, for their sign-off

Product page system

  • One template that can run any product page, filled from each product's own data
  • Every section editable in the theme editor, with only a few fields to fill per product
  • Supplement facts as real text that switches with the flavor, so Google can read it too
  • Ingredient cards and FAQs checked against the label and research, plus FAQ schema

Buy box and subscriptions

  • Subscribe & Save first and preselected, on their Loop plans, with per-serving prices
  • Flavor and size picker that keeps your flavor when a size sells out, with a restock alert
  • Cross-sells moved out of the buy box to after the reviews, picked for each product

Launch and product visuals

  • Built the MAD MAX page on the new template, with Subscribe & Save ready at launch
  • 3D product renders built in Blender for the MAD MAX launch banners
  • Custom banners and static images for the product pages and the homepage
  • Put MAD MAX live before the early access email, then set the menus and announcement bar

Testing and rollout

  • Built on a duplicate theme, then checked the files and 6 pages against the live site
  • Switched one product first, ran a real subscription test order, then switched the rest
  • A test script runs every flavor, size and plan, plus a real add to cart
  • Rollback is one setting per product, and the old page comes back unchanged

SEO and catalog

  • Split the latest Ahrefs crawl into real fixes and crawler noise, then set the fix order
  • Set Shopify's standard category on 29 products for the Google and Meta feeds
